Type of Role:

This is a freelance role that includes weekends and late nights.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Executing full lifecycle software development: This includes designing, developing, and maintaining computer software at the company.
  • Programming well-designed, testable, efficient code: Write code that is well-structured, easy to understand, and performs efficiently.
  • Producing specifications and determining operational feasibility: Create detailed specifications for software projects and assess their feasibility in terms of resources, time, and budget.
  • Integrating software components into a fully functional software system: Combine different software components to create a complete and functional software system.
  • Developing software verification plans and quality assurance procedures: Design plans to verify the functionality and quality of the software.
  • Documenting and maintaining software functionality: Document the features and functionality of the software they develop and ensure its maintenance over time.
  • Troubleshooting, debugging, and upgrading existing systems: Identify and resolve issues in existing software systems, debug errors, and implement upgrades.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Proficiency with JavaScript, React and other web technologies.
  • Proficiency with some backend language (we use PHP & Python).
  • Some experience with relational databases like Postgres/MySQL.
  • Interest in AI/ML (direct experience not required).
  • Ability to move fast in an environment where things are sometimes loosely defined and may have competing priorities or deadlines.
  • Creative, quality driven, detail oriented, with excellent communication skills (fluent English).
  • Sharp, critical thinking, high adaptability and a solid sense of ownership.
